From round the girdled Earth they roamed

We were honored to have so many of our friends and family with us to be a part of it. So many people came from so many different places around the world, we have put together this map.

Ceremony, dinner, and party

The ceremony took place at 4:15 PM on Saturday,
3 October 2009 in the Main Lounge on the second floor of the Dartmouth Club, located at

The Yale Club

50 Vanderbilt Avenue

New York, NY 10017

located just west of Grand Central Terminal

A cocktail reception and hors d’oeuvres followed at the Club in the Tap Room. Dinner was then served back in the Main Lounge.

After dinner, our friends Mike Cobb and Ed Hall spoke on behalf of Kevin and Simon, respectively. Below are audio files (mp3s) of:

- Kevin’s introduction for Mike

The evening concluded with dessert and a party at our apartment in Tribeca.

Legal Ceremony

It was not possible to get married legally in New York State (marriage is regulated in the United States independently by each state, not by the federal government). Therefore, we took the train to Darien, Connecticut. Kevin lived in Darien when we met, and Simon lived there the summer of 1997. We got our license from the Town Hall, then Justice of the Peace Mary Pugh took us to the Darien town beach on the Long Island Sound for a simple ceremony. We then went back to Darien town hall to get our marriage certificate. From there we took the train back to NYC for a celebratory lunch and then the rest of the activities. Mary also took a lot of pictures and video.

There are lots of details below about the wedding, but we know what everyone wants is
